The 1920s Flapper Wedding Dress (Style #1924)

A sophisticated look from the 1920s, this gown is offered in a luxurious four-ply silk crepe, which has the soft draping qualities needed to properly execute this design.

The gown features a simple "bateau" neckline, long fitted sleeves, and a dropped waistline. The bias cut bodice skims over the body, and closes with loops and tiny porcelain flower buttons.

The waistline wears a soft, self fabric sash, accented with either a hand-made self fabric flower or beaded appliques.

The tips of an underskirt of silk chiffon peek out among and between the handkerchief tips of the overskirt. Along the hem of both skirts and the drape at the left hip are scattered hand-sewn pearls. Lined with china silk.

To achieve the true 1920s look, we suggest wearing the gown with a rope of pearls wrapped several times around the neck. Our Belinda Cap headpiece complements the gown perfectly. Ask about our period headpieces.
