Custom Historic Bridal Gown (Style #1911) |
||
|
The gorgeous, soft, sweeping lines of this design provide the signature characteristic of this early 20th century gown. For fabrics, we selected an embroidered net in white over silk charmeuse, which could be ivory or any other soft pastel. The combination of the two sets off the delicate embroidered details of the lace. Another option is to have the bodice and sleeves in an elegant, heavier lace (available with or without beading and sequined embellishment) over an ivory, taupe, or other pastel silk charmeuse, with the skirt in silk georgette over the same color of silk charmeuse. The romantic cap sleeves are sheer. The empire waist rises a bit at the center back, accenting the slight gathering at the top of the flowing, graceful train. The back laces closed at the center above the waistline. Lined in china silk.
